BURBERRY INTERACTIVE ARTISTIC WINDOW DISPLAY

Summary 

The Burberry Shenzhen's brand new social retail boutique grand open was on July 31, 2020. This boutique inherits Burberry's consistent spirit of innovation and aims to bring consumers a digital immersive retail experience that integrates online and offline.
 
Wonderlabs is very honored to be invited to produce an interactive art window installation for the store. The kinetic installation consisting of 648 mirrors is located at the entrance of the store, the dynamic movements of the mirrors form a wave-like undulating effect, attracting passing pedestrians to stop and stay.
 
The installation will interact with every passing pedestrian. Whenever someone approaches, the effect of the installation will change with the body language of the audience. The appearance of the audience is presented with beautiful particles, forming an interactive experience with an artistic sense.
 
The ultra visual aesthetic requirements allocated slim walls leaving very little space for mechanics and electrical systems so the design of strong structural elements and easy to install and maintain mechanical, electrical and control systems was a challenging endeavor.
