We were very happy to be invited by Sony Design to present a unique mapping show for the SIIC Show Room. Combining the 3d content mapped onto the city model with the 2d live footage projected on the elevation, the mapping project creates a rich immersive experience of imagination and prospects for the audience.
We did in-depth studies on visual languages such as dots, lines, and surfaces, to tell a story of the historical origin, modern development, cultural convergence, and future vision of the waterway culture of Shanghai North Bund.
For each of the 6 chapters, we uses an unique set of generative particle system to represent and express: golden dots for historical retrospect, blue lines for modern technology, colored lines for cultural convergence, etc.
