On Nov 21st, 2021, Songjiang Incity had their grand opening. We are very happy to present two permanent installations for the mall: Giant Jellyfish and Mad Eye.
The Mad Eye is located above the staircase in the Fun Space, it’s a hanging data visualization installation. He is a messenger of Y Star stationed on the earth in the 202X era. After reaching earth, the Mad Eye’s aircraft decomposed and transformed into its protective shell, so that its internal body is not damaged by the environment. His job is to observe human beings and try to communicate with them. It continuously observes every day and collects data about humans: such as the current number of active people and their activity status.
The installation took our team 10 months from creation, design, production to realization.
